About Me

My background

For as long as I can remember, I have always had a passion for working  with children, parents, and families. I have worked as a mentor, life skills trainer, behavior coach, child welfare case manager, and most recently a therapist and coach. I have helped support and encourage parents and children at school in IEP and 504 meetings, at court in child welfare hearings, and in mental health settings. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Child Development and a Master's in Professional Counseling. I love the ever-changing  dynamics of family and children.

Who I am

With over a decade of experience working with children, parents, and families, I gained a completely different perspective when I became a parent myself. It was through this personal experience that I gained a newfound appreciation for the joys and hurdles of parenthood. As a child I navigated challenges related to having divorced parents, single working parents, and a blended family. Later with navigating the intricacies of being a working parent and raising children with special needs, I intimately understand the spectrum of challenges parents face, as well as how these can impact children.

I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.
